Ms. Durán is an attorney and runs a government relations practice under her own business, Durán Resources, LLC, in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Ms. Durán has represented various industries in her government relations business. She has also assisted many clients in general legal practice areas throughout her career.
Part of Ms. Duran's previous experience includes Senior Policy Advisor for Mexico in the State of New Mexico, where she worked on water and NAFTA issues and special projects, such as the Santa Teresa Rail Project, the Bi-National Sustainability Laboratory, the New Mexico-Chihuahua Commission and the XXII U.S.-Mexico Border Governors' Conference.
Ms. Durán was a Special Projects Manager for the New Mexico State Economic Development Department (EDD) where she represented EDD at the U.S.-Mexico Border Trade Conference in Monterrey, Mexico and the International Book Fair in Guadalajara. She was also a member of the advance team for the opening of New Mexico's first Trade Office in Mexico City.
Ms. Durán received a BA in International Business from the College of Santa Fe and earned a Juris Doctorate at the University of New Mexico School of Law in Albuquerque.
